How do I activate the auto-off feature is a question that often pops up, so we thought we'd add some information to help you do this.
The first thing to remember about your Powermonkey Extreme is that, by default, it will not turn off by itself when fully charged. PowerTraveller have designed their devices like this based on significant research and development, but more importantly have also taken into account consumer feedback. As you can imagine the auto-off feature can be problematic if it suddenly turns off your device whilst you are making the most of the best sunshine you've experienced in days!
For those of you who would prefer the auto-off feature activated I can tell you it is very easy to do. To override the default setting just follow these simple steps:
Turn on your Powermonkey Extreme. If you are unfamiliar with how to do this, simply swipe your thumb across the friction control pad. Make sure you swipe from left to right and that the LCD screen is on the left side of your fingers as you do this.
Double tap the left side of the friction control pad.
The LCD screen will now flash every 3 seconds to indicate that the auto-off function is turned on.
You are done!
Continue to use your Extreme as per normal or turn it off and save the battery until your next adventure!
To disable the auto-off function follow these steps:
Turn on your Powermonkey Extreme (as indicated above)
Double tap the right side of the friction control pad.
The LCD screen will now flash every 3 seconds to indicate that the auto-off function is turned off.
You are done!
